Occupational risk prevention technical staff

Occupational risk prevention technical staff are key to ensuring that companies comply with current legislation and establish safe and efficient working environments.

OCCUPATIONAL RISK PREVENTION TECHNICIANS
Functions of the staff assigned by Tamgo:
Risk identification and assessment
Carry out regular inspections in work areas to identify risks (falls, machinery-related accidents, or exposure to hazardous substances). In addition, they assess the risks of each activity and propose preventive measures.
Preparation and monitoring of OSH plans
Develop the project’s Health and Safety Plan, defining preventive measures and safe working procedures. Ensure that all workers are aware of and comply with the established plan.
Worker training
Organise training sessions on specific occupational risks, as appropriate in each case. Promote a prevention culture through awareness-raising activities that involve teams and management.
Compliance monitoring
Verify that the company and its workers comply with the Occupational Risk Prevention Act and other applicable regulations. Carry out regular audits to identify potential non-compliance and address shortcomings.
PPE management
Supervise the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, for example on construction sites: helmets, boots, gloves, hearing protection, etc. Ensure that PPE is appropriate for each task and in optimal condition.
Accident and incident investigation
Analyse the causes of accidents and propose corrective measures. Prepare detailed reports to prevent future incidents.
Coordination with safety
Collaborate with the Health and Safety Coordinator, engineers, and occupational physicians to ensure a safe environment. Inform those responsible for the work about shortcomings and potential safety improvements.
Prevention culture
Encourage and promote a proactive approach to occupational risk prevention. Drive good practices and continuous improvement programmes in workplace safety.
